Klein's Camp experiences warm days and two rainy seasons.
Rainfall:
From March until May the "long rains" fall, heralding a time of rest
and rejuvenation. The average annual rainfall at Klein's Camp is about
1 000mm. In November and December, as "short rains" roll in from the
south, the vast herds return, passing once again through the hills of
Klein's to their breeding grounds in the southern Serengeti.
The
dry season is from January to February and June to October. It is around
this time, just after the "long rains" that millions of grunting wildebeest
arrive in the hills and plains around the camp. Having given birth down
south they pass through this safe haven en-route to the rich northern
grasslands of the Masai Mara where they remain until October or November.
It
must be noted that the seasons around Klein's Camp vary from year to
year and if rains do not fall when expected the cyclical movement/migration
of wildebeest and other herbivores is influenced.
Temperature:
Early mornings and evenings can be cold (about 10°C/50°F). Days are
warm. The coldest month is July. The minimum temperatures are 12°C/54°F.
The maximum temperatures are 32°C/90°F. Winter is from May to September.
Summer is from October to April.

The best time to visit Klein's Camp is from June through December
when the migration occurs, and January to March, when the camp is a
dry season refuge.
