Phinda is easily accessible by self-drive, road transfer and air. There are daily scheduled flights from Johannesburg International Airport direct to Phinda airstrip. There are also daily scheduled flights from Johannesburg to Richards Bay Airport followed by a two-hour chauffeur-driven road transfer or 20-minute light-aircraft transfer to Phinda. Phinda is easily accessible for self-drive guests on excellent roads – driving time is six hours from Johannesburg and three hours from Durban. Three-hour road transfers from Durban International Airport to Phinda in an air-conditioned minibus are also available. Madikwe Safari Lodge (Madikwe Game Reserve)
From Phinda airstrip, there are daily scheduled flights to Johannesburg International Airport (JIA). Madikwe Safari Lodge is an easy 4.5-hour drive on good roads from JIA. Chauffeured transfers are available. There are daily FedAir flights from JIA to Madikwe Airstrip, departing at 12h00 and returning at 13h30. There are also daily scheduled flights from JIA to Pilanesberg Airport (Sun City), followed by a 2-hour road trip to the Lodge. Private air charters fly directly to the airstrip, which is 10 minutes from the Lodge.

Bongani Mountain Lodge in Mpumalanga
From Phinda airstrip, there are daily scheduled flights to Johannesburg International Airport. Bongani is easily accessible for self-drive guests - driving time from Johannesburg to Bongani is approximately 4.5 hours on excellent roads. Bongani operates daily scheduled pick-up times from the secure car park to the Lodge at 12:00, 14:00 and 18:00 daily, but further pick-up times can be arranged at an additional cost.

Kwandwe Private Game Reserve (Eastern Cape)
From Phinda, it is a three-hour self-drive or chauffeur-driven road transfer to Durban International Airport where there are daily scheduled flights to Port Elizabeth Airport, followed by a two-hour self-drive or chauffeur-driven road transfer to the Reserve. Kwandwe is a natural conclusion to a Garden Route journey and is perfect for self-drive guests.
