Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge is easily accessible by air and road transfer. There are frequent scheduled flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa to Windhoek or Walvis Bay in Namibia, as well as scheduled flights from Maun (Botswana) and Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe). Daily transfers by light aircraft – the Dune Hopper – are available from Windhoek or Swakopmund direct to Sossusvlei private airstrip. Namibia is renowned as being an exciting self-drive destination. Sossusvlei is accessible for self-drive guests on good gravel roads by 4x4 or sedan – driving time from Windhoek is approximately five hours. From Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge, there are scheduled charter flights - the Dune Hopper - to Windhoek followed by scheduled flights to Maun (Botswana). It is a 20-minute light aircraft flight to Sandibe private airstrip, followed by a 45-minute game-drive to the Lodge. Private charters are also available.
