| A: | Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge is easily accessible by air and road transfer – we can pre-book and package all of your regional/internal flights and transfers.
- Daily transfers by light aircraft from Windhoek or Swakopmund – the Dune Hopper – direct to Sossusvlei private airstrip
- Frequent flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa to Windhoek or Walvis Bay, followed by a charter flight to Sossusvlei private airstrip
- Scheduled flights from Maun (Botswana) and Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) are also available
- Sossusvlei is accessible for self-drive guests on good gravel roads by 4x4 or sedan – driving time from Windhoek is approximately five hours. Car hire is available in Windhoek, Walvis Bay and Swakopmund
- Namibia is renowned as being an exciting self-drive destination

| A: | Yes, children under 12 are warmly welcome. Recommended age for children on safari is six years and older.

| A: | An extra bed can be arranged for a child sharing the parents’ villa. Please note that the Lodge can only accommodate two triples per night.

When making your reservation, please advise us of any specific dietary requirements that you may have, and these will be communicated immediately to the lodge. Should specific items such as kosher meals need to be flown in, there will be an additional charge, which will be quoted separately. Two weeks notice is required for kosher meals. |

| A: | Guest safety is of paramount importance. A duty manager is available 24 hours a day should you require assistance.

| A: | Sossusvlei is situated in a malaria-free area. Please consult your physician or health department for the latest health precautions. Some countries require advance inoculations (and certificates thereof) – we will advise you of these.

| Q: | How is emergency medical cover and travel insurance arranged? |
| A: | Emergency medical evacuation insurance is included in the rate at all CC Africa lodges. This guarantees all reasonable, practical assistance in obtaining primary or emergency medical services for an insured person who suffers illness or injury. Please note that this is evacuation insurance only and does not replace normal travel insurance. Trained first-aiders are on standby at the Lodge at all times, and emergency evacuation by air is available.

| A: | Sossusvlei offers a range of exciting activities including scenic drives in 4x4 vehicles in the NamibRand Nature Reserve, exploring the desert by quad bikes (all-terrain 4x4 motorcycles), guided and marked walking trails, stargazing and excursions to the famous Sossusvlei sand dunes.

Guest safety is paramount at all times.

| Q: | Which are the best months to visit Sossusvlei? |
| A: | Namibia enjoys sunshine virtually every day of the year, and you can expect hot summers (November – April) and pleasant winters (May – October) in this arid climate. Daytime summer temperatures can rise to 35ºC/95ºF and drop to around 18ºC/65ºF at night. Winter days are sunny and mild to warm with temperatures of about 23ºC/73ºF, which may drop to as low as 5ºC/41ºF at night. The coastal region is cool and dry throughout the year.

| A: | It rains in summer during the first quarter of the year. From February to March, average rainfall varies from less than 50mm (2 inches) along the coast to 350mm (13 inches) in the central and 700mm (27 inches) in the far north eastern regions.
