| A: | Ngala is easily accessible by self-drive, road transfer and air – we can pre-book and package all of your regional/internal flights and transfers, and provide a meet and greet service at all airports.
- Daily scheduled flights from Johannesburg International Airport (JNB) to Ngala private airstrip, or from JNB to Eastgate Airport followed by a one-hour road transfer to Ngala Game Lodge and an extra 45 minutes to Ngala Tented Safari Camp
- Driving time from Johannesburg is 5.5 hours on excellent roads to the Timbavati entrance gate. Ngala Tented Safari Camp is three kilometres due west of Orpen gate
- Daily scheduled flights from Cape Town to Hoedspruit via Johannesburg to Eastgate Airport, followed by a road transfer to the Lodge
- Scheduled flights from JNB to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, followed by a 30-minute light-aircraft flight to Ngala airstrip
- Daily charter flights between Ngala, Londolozi and Phinda are available

| A: | Yes, children under 11 are warmly welcome at Ngala Game Lodge. Regrettably, for safety reasons, children under 11 cannot be accommodated at Ngala Tented Safari Camp.

| A: | An extra bed can be arranged for one child (12 and under) sharing the parents’ chalet at Ngala Game Lodge.

| A: | Ngala is renowned for providing an unbeatable family safari experience. Activities depend entirely on the age of the children and may include the following:
- Special family game drives (at the discretion of the lodge manager and subject to availability)
- Special one-hour children's bush walks within the camp perimeter
- Planet Manager activity books
- Special programmes can be compiled such as tracking for children, frog safaris and birding
- Children’s meals and menus available

When making your reservation, please advise us of any specific dietary requirements that you may have, and these will be communicated immediately to the Lodge. Should specific items such as kosher meals need to be flown in, there will be an additional charge, which will be quoted separately. Two weeks notice is required for kosher meals. |

| A: | Guest safety is of paramount importance – fully trained security staff monitor animal activity within the Lodge areas, and always escort guests to/from their chalets or tented suites (especially between dusk and dawn).

| A: | Please consult your physician or health department for the latest health and anti-malarial precautions. Some countries require advance inoculations (and certificates thereof) – we will advise you of these.

| A: | Emergency medical evacuation insurance is included in the rate at all CC Africa lodges. This guarantees all reasonable, practical assistance in obtaining primary or emergency medical services for an insured person who suffers illness or injury. Please note that this is evacuation insurance only and does not replace normal travel insurance. Trained first-aiders are on standby at the Lodge at all times, and emergency evacuation by air is available.

There is no electricity at Ngala Walking Safaris Camp – battery operated lamps are utilised in your tent and paraffin lamps and candles illuminate the evenings. |

| Q: | Which are the best months to visit Ngala? |
| A: | Ngala offers exceptional game viewing opportunities throughout the year. Daytime summer temperatures (September – April) are high and may soar above 36°C/97°F. Winters (May – August) have chilly nights and crisp early mornings (minimum 3°C/38°F), but the days are fine and warm. Game viewing is often at its best from the end of March to the end of August because of sparser vegetation and greater animal congregations around waterholes.
